Merry Christmas! to everybody that celebrates it ! …and everybody that doesn’t, still MERRY CHRISTMAS!
For some of you, Christmas means the birth of Jesus; personally, as you might know already, I’m not a very religious person despite being Christian, so for me Christmas isn’t important for that, but it’s important because it brings people together, even people that are far away or that are not here anymore. It’s an especially warm time of year, where we can exchange presents, make jokes and laugh as much as our possibilities afford us to. It’s the time where everybody, or at least most people, is just a little bit more generous than usual and that’s a wonderful thing.
A quote from Thomas S. Monson says that “Christmas is the spirit of giving without a thought of getting. It is happiness because we see joy in people. It is forgetting self and finding time for others. It is discarding the meaningless and stressing the true values.” Christmas is the most fitted time of the year to leave all our prejudices, worries, bad times outside the door and cherish what we currently have, because know that somebody might have it much worse!
I hope and wish to every and each one of you that reads this to have a good and happy time today and celebrate to the best of your abilities!
