[News] OZMAFIA!! available for pre-order on MangaGamer

FINALLY. After 2 (or 3?) years of waiting, it’s finally here! The game will be released on the 29th of April. You can pre-order from MangaGamer or wait for the Steam release.

Otome games future shines brightly!

PS: Personally, I’ll wait for Steam because I don’t trust MangaGamer activation methods and I feel safer to have everything on one account to download as many times as I want. XD

[NEWS] Otome game SALES on STEAM

 photo GAME-0013431_05_zpsfdcthy2u.jpg

There’s an Autumn Sale on Steam going on right now and lots of otome games got discounted a lot (like HOLY S*IT, you can get Amnesia for roughly 3$ ).

Check the list out HERE. The sale will end on 1st of December !

(PS: If you’re a fan of Idea Factory JRPGs, you can get Fairy Fencer f and Hyperdimension Neptunia: Rebirth for more or less 6$. I suggest you check the full discount list if, like me, you like a variety of games)

[REVIEW] Life is Strange – 7/10

 photo Life-Is-Strange-Episode-1-2_zpsaykme1bg.jpg

Some of you might already know that I also like other types of videogames besides otome games and I guess this shall be the debut of my general videogame section of the blog and what pick would be more fitting for that than Life is Strange?

Life is Strange is a 2015 choice-based videogame, divided into 5 episodes, made by DontNod Entertainment and published by Square Enix. It covers the story of Max Caulfield, an 18 years old geek-girl with a passion for photography, who one day finds out she got time-rewind abilities while witnessing the death of a punk-looking girl, Chloe Price, and eventually managing to save her. Together with Chloe, Max is going to start diving into the mysteries of Arcadia Bay, which are not as trivial as they look, while trying to fix her own social life and figure out her own visions of an upcoming tornado going to destroy the whole town.

The game is available only as digital download from Steam HERE.
It can also be found on Playstation and Xbox markets.

Important to mention, Max’s relationships will differ based on how you choose to deal with the people around her. They will change their impression of Max and interact with her based on how she acts and what she does, as well as how much care she’s able to show. I could say there are two romance options available for her too, but I am going to further develop this later.

Review might include minor spoilers.

[NEWS] The Men of Yoshiwara: Kikuya now on Steam!

 photo 666afdf7-e30f-49f9-9478-dc36b90f1896_zpshe1lea72.jpg

Creator; Editor: Dongenzaka Lab

Publisher: 3DPublisher

Synopsis: “On a closed island where boys are not born, blooms a unique culture that is completely different from the mainland. In the middle of the island, there is a red-light district where the men all live.

You enter this pleasure district, to buy just one night with a man who belongs to no one…a night filled with realized lies; the deceiving and the deceived. But after such a night, to whom will you speak of love?”

You can obtain it from Steam HERE.
There’s a 40% discount till the 21st of October so you’d better get while it’s still cheap. (27,99€ is kind of depressing for me…hahaha)

There is also an Android and iOS version if you don’t want to play on the computer:

The app version works like any other phone/tablet otome game. You choose your guy -> Buy his route -> off you go.

I just played the prologue of the app version and the whole idea around it is nice (I mean dating courtesans!  haha) and the art is very nice, but it’s not voiced, so again, if you really want this game I recommend you getting it during a sale.

EDIT: I hear that there’s also a PSVita version of this game called Otoko Yuukaku with fixed CG art, more music, voice actors, extra endings, new scenarios and an extra character. I understand that one reason why they maybe couldn’t have brought the voice actor version is probably because of buying the right to distribute their voice acting worldwide (that has been the problem before with Starry Sky series as well), but there’s no excuse for deciding to port the app version instead of the obviously higher quality PSVita version.

Please support Ify and Amnesia!

 photo amnesia1280x1024_zps82jnqzv8.jpg

I didn’t have the chance to post about this before, but since I just found out something that distressed me (though I knew it was unavoidable), I just HAVE to say it! Please. PLEASE! Support Idea Factory International and Amnesia through legal means. The game got released only a couple of days ago in USA, Europe and Australia (not sure if worldwide) on both PS Vita console and PC via Steam and it already got patches and cracks for ILLEGAL download. I realize that you can’t possibly have money for everything that you might be interested in, being a gamer or into the anime/manga community is a quite expensive hobby sometimes, BUT at least buy and support what you LIKE! Set your priorities straight! And the feeling with which I’m trying to convey this to you is doubled when being aware that otome games have an uncertain future in the West! Pirating them is the LEAST that the western otoge industry needs and it could even KILL IT! Fortunately the PS Vita was not yet hacked (yet…), but Ify put their faith into us and gambled to bring Amnesia to the PC for those poor unfortunate souls that still do not own a PS Vita. You could at least download it to try it out and see if you like it, but if you like it then BUY IT. I can’t emphasize more how important this is ! It’s not available in your country? Fine. If it’s not available there’s nothing you can do. But the “I don’t have money.” excuse does not justify it if you set your priorities straight! Save up! Every $$$ counts! And better, wait for a sale. Amnesia is already being sold at 40% less till today! You can’t right now? Save for the next sale! There will definitely be more in the future! Also, if you want to possibly see the sequels Amnesia Later and Amnesia Crowd being brought to the West, then it’s even more of a reason to BUY Amnesia: Memories!

[walkthrough] Amnesia: Memories [Shin route ]

 photo 2015-08-28_00097_zpswhbrbmc9.jpg

Let me get on the Amnesia train! I’m still excited I was able to own it so soon!

There are 4 endings available for Shin’s route.GOOD END, NORMAL END, and 2 (actually 3 but it’s only slightly different)DEAD ENDS (yes, I mean it.) Also, don’t be afraid to experiment. I usually save before every choice to see the immediate outcome of both options.
